ENCA is a collective of Latinas/os who are currently working in health centers, community based organizations, health departments, and other programs integrally involved in HIV/AIDS. On October 2005, ENCA members received a four day training by the U.S./ Mexico Border Health Association to implement the ENLACES curriculum in California. At the training, the members met and decided to create ENCA with the purpose of bringing the ENLACES curriculum to California.

ENLACES is a skill building course developed by the U.S./Mexico Border Health Association that aims to position Latinas/os as active and effective representatives in the HIV Prevention Community Planning process at the local, state, and regional levels.

ENCA has committed to provide trainings to counties that requested. Please feel free to contact us to learn more about the curriculum and how to bring an ENLACES training to your county.

ENLACES is a three day training that covers a good range of topics that aim to better prepare community members when joining HIV Prevention Planning Committees.
